Opening and first session with dataset experts

Arrival and registration
Participants, mentors, and dataset experts arrive and register.

Official opening
Welcome, practical information, introductions to the datasets and the people involved, and an introduction to MUIS web portal as a possible complementary source.

18:00–18:15
Mingling and finding the rooms
A short transition break to get oriented and move to the team spaces.

18:15–18:45
Team breakouts with dataset experts
Teams move to their assigned rooms and meet their dataset experts.

Focus of this session:

  • understanding the dataset in practice
  • clarifying access and structure
  • identifying realistic directions
  • shaping early ideas

Dataset expert consultation area
Dataset experts gather in one area, and teams can come to them for additional consultation.

19:15–20:00
Dinner
Buffet-style dinner. Teams may eat flexibly and continue working in their rooms if needed.

20:00–20:45
Idea pitching round
Each team gives a short 2–3 minute pitch presenting their initial concept.
Mentors give brief first reactions and guidance afterwards.

20:45–22:15
First work session with mentors
Teams refine their scope and begin first data exploration.
Mentors circulate between teams.
Dataset experts remain available for questions.

One team member may present while others continue working if preferred.
