DataCite is a global network of data centers, universities, and other research institutions that provides services and support to researchers, data centers, publishers, and research funders. DataCite enables researchers to find, identify, and cite scientific data and other research objects.
DataCite Estonia was founded to increase the discovery and accessibility of research data created in Estonia.
In Estonia, the University of Tartu is a member of DataCite and has formed DataCite Estonia Consortiumwhich also includes Tallinn University, TalTech and Estonian University of Life Sciences.
DataCite Estonia Consortium provides services related to research data management to data centers and researchers. Services are free for researchers and data centers of research institutions affiliated with the consortium, while services offered to individual researchers and institutions outside the consortium are based on the price list.
